Implementation of IDEAPOSE

Check the conformity of the products before installation. The installation of the products implies the acceptance of their appearance.

Installation Preparation For a harmonious blend of shades, mix stones from different packages and palettes. Mark a horizontal line on your substrate every 50 cm to maintain the horizontality of the installation. To cut the stones, use a diamond blade or a material blade and remove the sharp edges. Stone Strips Gluing ORSOL STONE STRIPS can be glued at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Do not install in rainy weather; otherwise, protect the area. If your walls have corners, start by making them first. ORSOL products are double glued. Apply ORFLEX SOUPLE® or ORFLEX® Hautes performance adhesive to the substrate using a trowel or smoothing machine, adjusting the thickness with a notched trowel 10 X 10 X 10.

Butter the entire back of the ORSOL® facing with ORFLEX SOUPLE® or ORFLEX® Hautes performance adhesive on the entire back of the ORSOL® cladding with a layer of 1 to 2 mm.

Place your ORSOL cladding on top of the fresh grooves and press firmly for good contact and to expel air. For cladding with unfilled joints, glue the elements together with a 2 mm gap and apply pressure to let the adhesive flow back into the joints. This backflow will prevent water from getting under the covering. For cladding that needs grouting, glue the facades with a joint between the stones from 4 to 20 mm apart. The expansion joints of the structure and the joints between the structure and the infill masonry must be respected in the adhesive mortar and cladding. No joints are required for the installation of grouted cladding. For the installation of unfilled joint cladding, a separation joint is needed every 60 m2 with a horizontal joint every 6 m in height and a vertical joint every 10 m in length.

Cement Adhesives Grouting ORSOL low modulus wall grout does not require the use of separation joints if the cladding is laid with joints of at least 5 mm. ORSOL grouts are laid at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Do not lay in rainy weather; otherwise, protect the site.

The joints must be grouted 24 hours after installation by filling them with a grout bag filled with ORSOL grout. After filling, press the mortar with a cat's tongue or a grout iron. When the grout begins to set, brush the joints with a soft steel brush and a quack brush. Grout Protective Treatment For outdoor or damp areas, we recommend spraying with ORSOL water-repellent treatment. Hydrophobic Treatments Treatment of Special Points Exterior Corners

For covering exterior corners, special corner elements can be used or the cladding itself.

Covering exterior corners with a specific element:

Using the specific corner elements of a collection, start by placing them before laying the cladding. First, double-glue the corner chains, alternating short and long sides from one row to the next. The construction of corners with these elements is not covered by ATEx. (To comply with ATEx, you can use these corner elements and miter cut them at a 45° angle before or after installation, then fill the edge joint with a soft sealant 24 hours after installation).

Covering outgoing corners with the cladding itself (see diagram 1):

If you cover outgoing corners with the cladding itself, miter cut a stone or cladding plate at a 45° angle. Each piece will rebuild the corner on both sides of the edge in a harmonious manner. Leave a 3 mm joint in the corner edge. Fill the corner joint with a flexible sealant 24 hours after installation.

For grouted cladding plates, leave a gap between stones of the same thickness. For cladding plates with unfilled joints, overlap the plates. Lintels

To cover lintels, special elements can be used. Cover the lintels with a specific element:

Using the specific elements of a collection, start by placing them before installing the corners by double-gluing the lintels. The construction of lintels with these specific elements is not covered by ATEx. (To comply with ATEx, you can use these lintel elements by miter cutting them at a 45° angle before or after installation, and then fill the edge joint with a soft sealant 24 hours after installation. See diagram 2)

Leave a 5 cm gap between the natural (or finished) ground and the inside of the 1st row for exterior installations to ensure drainage. Install a temporary startrail before laying the first row of cladding to ensure a flat and horizontal installation. (Diagram 3)
